Joel Miller Finished Top-5 in Championship |

Hesperia, CA (October 12, 2009) – The final Star Mazda presented by Goodyear Championship race showed that Joel Miller has the speed and aggression to drive to the front. In a very foggy and cold qualifying session Miller posted a time good enough for 4th. He mentioned that the car was descent but with a few changes it would be right for the race. |

Conor Daly - Best Race of the Season |

MAZDASPEED driver Conor Daly produced perhaps his most impressive race of the season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca finishing in fourth place having started fifteenth on the grid. After being second fastest on Friday, Conor was a legitimate pole position contender, but he broke a front suspension pushrod after two laps on new tires during Saturday morning’s qualifying session. After an exceptional job by his Andersen racing team to replace the broken part in the pit lane, Conor had three minutes left in the session when he left the pit lane for a last gasp effort. On the first flying lap, the gearbox broke which meant he would start from the fifteenth starting position. |

Newgarden's Season Ends -- Second in British Formula Ford Series |

WILTSHIRE, ENGLAND (October 6, 2009) – Josef Newgarden concluded his 2009 MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain campaign on Saturday (October 3) in fine fashion, standing on the podium with two second place finishes in Rounds 24 and 25, giving a thumbs-up to new series champion James Cole. The talented American junior open-wheel driver finished the season with a series-high nine race wins, and as the leading rookie competitor. |
